Presidentti Coffee needed a strong display typeface with unique shapes and distinct detailing for use in advertising, marketing and packaging.

To achieve this we created a modern interpretation of a classical display serif font, with the addition of sharp cuts throughout the shapes. The countershapes of letters are designed to both hint at the calligraphic origins of the letters, as well as bring in a mechanical aspect to the aesthetics. The serifs are sharp and curved at the same time and the proportions are condensed to make headlines as big as possible.

Throughout the typeface one can sense a play between historical calligraphic forms and contrasting mechanical shapes.

The typeface supports both Latin and Cyrillic scripts.
